About

What is Sofwave?

Sofwave delivers ultrasound heat to the dermis to encourage collagen remodeling.

It targets fine lines on the face and neck, loss of firmness and a slack look, for a firmer, tighter appearance.

In 2025 Sofwave was approved in Japan as a medical device for improving wrinkles of the face and neck.

At ECLAT CLINIC OMIYA, we adjust the treatment to your skin and concerns. You can choose treatment by a doctor or by a nurse.

Effects

What it can do

  • A tighter look. Heating the dermis encourages collagen remodeling, which targets slackness around the cheeks and jawline.
  • Softer fine lines on the face and neck. Around the eyes and mouth, on the forehead and on the neck.
  • Firmer, more elastic skin. Heat stimulates the production and remodeling of collagen and elastin for smoother-looking skin.

Changes appear gradually, and some people notice them over the weeks after treatment. Results vary from person to person.

For you

Who it is for

  • You are bothered by slackness around your cheeks or jawline
  • You have fine lines around your eyes, mouth or forehead
  • You are bothered by lines on your neck
  • Your skin has lost firmness and elasticity
  • You want natural rejuvenation without surgery
  • You want as little downtime as possible
  • You are not sure whether Sofwave or HIFU suits you

How Sofwave works

Sofwave uses a technology called SUPERB™ (Synchronous Ultrasound Parallel Beam).

Seven parallel ultrasound beams heat a cylinder-shaped zone centered about 1.5 mm below the skin surface, in the mid-dermis.

The heated dermis starts to repair itself, which encourages the production and remodeling of collagen and elastin.

The skin surface is cooled during treatment to limit heat to the outer layer of skin.

Why ECLAT

Sofwave at ECLAT

  • Doctor or nurse. With treatment by a doctor, the doctor examines you and treats you, adjusting the areas, energy and number of shots as they go. With treatment by a nurse, a nurse who meets our in-house standards treats you under the doctor’s examination and instructions.
  • Tailored to your skin. Skin thickness, the depth of lines and slackness, and the areas to treat differ from person to person. We set the areas, energy and number of shots after examining your skin.
  • Trained staff. Treatment is given by doctors and nurses who have completed the manufacturer’s training and meet our in-house standards.
Compare

Sofwave or HIFU?

Both use ultrasound heat, but they differ in the depth and the way heat is delivered.

Sofwave heats the mid-dermis at about 1.5 mm and targets fine lines, loss of firmness and slack skin.

HIFU focuses ultrasound on points at deeper layers. We use the Ultraformer III.

Neither is better in every case. The right one depends on your concerns and skin, and we help you decide at your consultation.

Interval

How often

About once every 6 months. The number of sessions and interval depend on your skin and the change you want, and the doctor will advise you at your consultation.
